King’s first feature documentary, Our dad, Danielle, took home several festival prizes, including the Best Documentary Jury Award at Manchester Film Festival & The LGBTQ+ Voices Jury Award at Portland Film Festival.

Leah’s an award-winning multidisciplinary creative passionate about storytelling across mediums. She believes in diverse on-screen representation as a stairway to empathy. Her writing has placed in notable competitions like Final Draft’s Big Break Screenwriting Contest & the Atlanta Film Festival Screenwriting Competition. She also loves to play the piano, watch nature docs & spoil her dog-child.
